Charter · Dive
Private charters of five to ten days with a compressor, a dive deck, tender support and guides who know how Komodo's currents behave. You give us group size, dates and dive level; we build the schedule around tides and your wish list.
The standard
Three criteria are non-negotiable, and the rest of the inclusion list sits on top of them.
Certification we ask for
Advanced Open Water or equivalent with recent experience, comfort with negative entries and managing current, and dive insurance including evacuation cover. Komodo regularly involves medium to strong currents; we can take less experienced divers on selected itineraries and will say which.
Where it goes further
Not included: park entrance and diving fees, rental BCDs, regulators, wetsuits and computers, alcohol beyond the yacht's bar policy, insurance, flights, and gratuities for crew and dive staff.
The sites
Exact sites are always subject to tide, sea state and the group's level. These are the ones that shape most itineraries.
Drift
A drift over cleaning stations with frequent manta sightings in season, and the one site non-divers can share from the surface.
Advanced
Northern Komodo pinnacles with advanced currents, schooling fish, sharks and the occasional pelagic.
Strict timing
Batu Bolong is dense reef life on a strict current window; Shotgun is a narrow channel with powerful drifts and big-fish action.
Sheltered
The calmer option for less current-hungry days, and where mixed-ability groups get a dive everyone enjoys.
Surface interval
Scenic stops between dives: the ridge walk, beach time, and somewhere for the non-divers to spend the afternoon.
The hulls
All three meet the dive criteria. Which one you want comes down to transit time, group size and how much you care about the deck.
10–16 guests
Classic wooden sailing vessels converted into premium liveaboards. The most popular option for dive clubs and extended families.
4–8 divers
For groups that would rather spend the day diving than crossing. Shorter transits and more predictable scheduling.
6–8 guests
Boutique hulls for instructor-led groups, workshops and photography charters that need the schedule to bend.
Route patterns
Two shapes, and the choice is really about how much of the charter you are willing to spend getting there.
5–10 days
A genuine crossing with blue-water sailing and dives outside the core park. Gili or north Lombok reefs as a warm-up, Sumbawa sites with macro and pelagic potential, then central and northern Komodo, finishing in Labuan Bajo.

Starting and finishing on Flores maximises hours on the premier sites and cuts transit: Sebayur, Tatawa, Siaba, then Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and Shotgun, with south Komodo on the longer trips.

Pricing
Orientation figures rather than fixed quotes. For a real proposal we need your month, group size, dive level and route.
Per person
Driven by yacht category, season, the number of nights and how hard the dive schedule runs.
$1,000–3,500 per person
Whole boat
From a small four to six guest phinisi up to a fourteen to sixteen guest liveaboard, one-way or round trip.
$12,000–40,000 per charter
Indicative
Where a mid-length whole-boat dive charter usually lands once the group and the route are settled.
$18,000 per charter
Both bands exclude park entrance and diving fees, rental equipment, insurance, flights and gratuities.
Process
Travel window, group size and the split between divers and non-divers, certifications and recent experience — especially the least experienced diver — route preference and a budget band.
Two to four options with deck plans, cabin layouts, sample dive-focused itineraries, inclusions and exclusions, estimated park fees and a payment schedule.
With your trip leader we fix dives per day and night-dive frequency, priority sites, the ratio of hard drift sites to sheltered reefs, and the non-dive excursions.
A temporary hold while you confirm flights and the group, then a formal offer, a deposit invoice and a cut-off for final headcount.
Fly into Lombok and we transfer you from Senggigi, the Gilis or Mataram to Bangsal; transfer to Benoa or Serangan for Bali departures; or fly straight into Labuan Bajo and be met on arrival.
For clubs and shops we also handle tank mixes, air or Nitrox where available, scooters, extra tanks, camera tables and lecture space on non-dive evenings.
