The standard
Three things have to work together before a day counts as private: privacy, flexibility and comfort. Everything below is arranged before you get in the car.
What it costs
A comfortable private Gili day — guide, snorkelling and a private vehicle on the Lombok side — starts around $450 for a small group. Premium speedboats and extra services scale up from there.
Where it goes further
Dietary preferences reach the restaurant before you do. Helicopter segments and golf rounds can be added at the top end, subject to aircraft availability and permits.
Tour styles
Most guests pick two or three strong experiences and do them properly, rather than trying to cross the whole island in a day.
North, green and cool
Cool forest air, plantation paths and one or two waterfalls. Short, rewarding walks rather than summit-chasing, with local assistants on the slippery steps.
Better timing, better boat
A chartered boat for your party instead of a group glass-bottom run. Guides know where turtles feed and which coral is clearest that morning.
Wide, open, quiet
Long curves of sand, headlands and small offshore islands, including Lombok's own pink-sand bay. Simple grilled seafood and clear water for snorkelling.
Slower days on the road
Sasak villages, backstrap looms and morning markets — or the same route shifted into softer light for photography.
Honeymoon & slower days
A honeymoon day should feel unhurried. The logistics stay in the background while you keep the details: the curve of the bay from a sunbed, gold shifting to orange on the way back in.

Two ways to the south-east
A private SUV across the interior with stops at viewpoints and villages, then a short boat hop between the coves. The sensible choice if you are staying north or west.
Based around Kuta Lombok, a private boat from a southern harbour cuts the road time and puts the day in the water instead of the car.
Timing
Water clarity is usually best around midday, so we aim to arrive either side of the biggest group boats and hold a shaded gazebo for a simple seafood lunch.
Sample framework
One of the two frameworks most guests adapt, rather than follow to the letter.
Day 1
Private transfer from the airport or Bangsal, check into a coastal resort, then a short sunset cruise or a hilltop viewpoint.
Day 2
North by private SUV, guided village walks, one or two waterfalls with safe swimming, and a late return to dinner.
Day 3
Transfer to Bangsal, then a private snorkelling boat in turtle-rich water, with lunch on Gili Air or Gili Meno.
Day 4
A village and weaving route with a market visit and a regional lunch, then the airport or harbour drop-off.
The seven-day version keeps two or three of these land days and adds a 4D3N phinisi to Labuan Bajo, calling at Kelor, Padar, the dragons on Komodo or Rinca, Manta Point and Komodo's Pink Beach.

Yes. Easier paths with handrails and shorter stair sections for a relaxed walk, or routes with river crossings and forest trails if you want more. Local assistants carry bags either way.
Senggigi, Mataram, Kuta Lombok or the Bangsal area, and we can collect you from a Gili jetty. Kuta adds road time to anything on the north-west coast.

Both, at the top end. Flight routing and duration depend on aircraft availability and permits. Golfers usually play the cooler early hours while everyone else takes the pool.
