Komodo Luxury Cabin Cruise – Shared Phinisi from Lombok to Komodo
A komodo luxury cabin cruise is the easiest way to experience a liveaboard between Lombok and Komodo without hiring a full yacht. You simply reserve a cabin, join a scheduled departure, and enjoy four or five days sailing through the Nusa Tenggara islands to Komodo National Park.

The Route: Lombok to Komodo to Labuan Bajo (4–5 Days)
Our komodo luxury cabin cruise follows the classic eastbound route through the Nusa Tenggara island chain. Specific anchorages vary slightly by season, but the structure stays similar so you know what to expect.
Departure – Lombok Area
Most departures use:
- Bangsal Harbour (for Gili Trawangan / Gili Air guests connecting via local boat)
- Senggigi shoreline pickup or short transfer to the harbor
- Hotel pickup from Mataram/Senggigi-area accommodation
If you are coming from Bali, the common options are:
- Fast boat Bali → Gili / Bangsal, then our transfer to the phinisi
- Flight to Lombok International Airport, then overland to Senggigi/Bangsal
We will advise the best connection based on where you’re staying (Canggu, Seminyak, Ubud, Nusa Dua, etc.) when you enquire.
Typical 4D3N Lombok → Komodo → Labuan Bajo Outline
Day 1 – Lombok to Sumbawa waters
Afternoon boarding near Bangsal/Senggigi, safety briefing and cabin check‑in as we cross the strait. Sunset at sea, first dinner onboard while we cruise east along Sumbawa’s coastline.
Day 2 – Remote bays and snorkel sites
Morning swim and snorkel at a Sumbawa reef or sandbank, depending on conditions. Cruising through the day with time to relax on deck, read, or enjoy the views of the island chain. Overnight at anchor in a sheltered bay.
Day 3 – Padar Island & Komodo / Rinca
Arrival into the Komodo area. Early-morning walk on Padar Island for panoramic ridge views, then a beach stop (often Pink Beach or a nearby coral beach) for snorkeling. In the afternoon we enter Komodo National Park for a guided walk on Komodo or Rinca Island with park rangers to see the Komodo dragons. Evening at anchor.
Learn more about the park itself at
Komodo National Park on Wikipedia.
Day 4 – Manta Point & Labuan Bajo
Snorkeling at Manta Point / Karang Makassar when currents and visibility are suitable, with a chance to see manta rays gliding over the seabed. Final lunch onboard as we cruise into Labuan Bajo harbour on Flores. Afternoon disembarkation with optional transfer to your hotel or airport.
Reverse-direction sailings (Labuan Bajo → Lombok) are typically 5D4N due to routing and timing and are offered on selected dates; see our dedicated
Lombok to Komodo Cruise information for current schedules.

The Boat: Luxury Phinisi, Shared as a Cabin Cruise
We specialise in traditional wooden phinisi yachts, upgraded for comfort and safety. Instead of booking the entire vessel as a private charter, on this komodo luxury cabin cruise you reserve:
- A double or twin cabin with private ensuite bathroom
- Or a premium / master cabin on upper deck (limited availability)
Key features you can expect on our higher‑class shared-cabin phinisi boats:
- 6–10 guest cabins, usually carrying 12–18 guests for an intimate feel
- Air‑conditioning in all cabins, with opening portholes or windows for ventilation
- Private bathrooms with hot freshwater shower and western toilet
- Indoor saloon and shaded outdoor lounge/dining area
- Sun deck with loungers or daybeds
- Dedicated galley and chef, serving Indonesian and international dishes
- Navigation and safety equipment appropriate for the route (radios, GPS, life rafts)
- Tender/dinghy for landings and snorkel runs
Some departures are more leisure-focused (snorkeling, beaches, relaxed schedule), while others are designed as dive liveaboards with full scuba facilities. Let us know your priorities and we will match you with an appropriate vessel on the dates you need.
If you are instead looking for an entire private yacht or premium phinisi charter, please start from the Luxury Lombok home and choose the dedicated charter pages – this product is specifically for shared cabin sailings.
Who Our Komodo Luxury Cabin Cruise Suits Best
This shared-cabin format is ideal if you:
- Are a couple looking for a comfortable cabin with space and privacy, but happy to share common areas with other guests
- Are a solo traveler wanting a social boat with clear safety standards, clear inclusions and a mid‑to‑upper level of comfort
- Have a small group of friends (2–6 people) who prefer cabins on a scheduled departure instead of committing to a full-boat charter
- Want to sail Lombok → Komodo → Labuan Bajo as a one-way route that connects neatly with flights from Labuan Bajo back to Bali or onward
- Prefer an organised structure with guides, ranger coordination and park fees handled for you, rather than piecing together ferries and day trips
It may not be the right fit if you need absolute date flexibility, are traveling with very young children, or require a completely private environment. In those cases our private charter options will suit you better; we can outline those if you reach out.
Komodo Luxury Cabin Cruise Pricing & Boat Classes
For a realistic idea of cost, it helps to think in terms of per person, per cruise, not per day.
On this route, prices vary by boat class (standard / comfort / premium), cabin type, and operating year:
- Standard / comfort phinisi, shared cabin: approx USD 500–800 per person for 4D3N Lombok → Labuan Bajo in a lower-deck double/twin with AC and private bathroom
- Premium phinisi, main/upper-deck cabin: approx USD 800–1,200+ per person for 4–5 days, depending on cabin location and season
This sits comfortably within the broader range for a komodo luxury cabin cruise of approx USD 500–1,200 per person for 4–5 days. Pricing changes with fuel costs, park regulations and demand for specific departure dates (for example, July–September often books out months in advance).
What affects your quote:
- Cabin category: standard double/twin vs. master or balcony cabin
- Season: high season (July–September, some holiday periods) vs. shoulder months
- Exact duration: 4D3N core product vs. 5D4N or extended routes
- Dive add-ons: full dive packages with gear rental are priced separately where available
For specific departure dates and live availability, please see
Packages & Pricing or send us a message with your preferred month and group size. We will respond with 1–3 best‑fit boat options at different budget levels.
How to Book Your Lombok → Komodo Luxury Cabin
